Double award winner at the Pioneer Arts Spring Show in Grass Valley, Ca. Inspired by the living beauty of the Crystal Hermitage Gardens in Nevada City, Ca. this was my motivation to paint this piece.
Sherri discovered her love of painting when she first signed up for oil painting lessons at the age of ten. Growing up in California, the natural beauty and landscapes of her surroundings inspired her to paint. As an adult, she moved to the east coast where she continued her artistic education. One of her most influential instructors for many years was the well-known and accomplished artist Bruce Becker of Reading, Pennsylvania. Her professional work started mostly as donations to raise money for fundraisers for local charitable causes, which later grew into private commissions.
