This was a commission I did for a diver who passions this beautiful place off of the California Coast. A rugged path to a treasured place loved by divers who dive for jade. I walked this path and loved that I could soak in its beauty for this painting.
Sherri discovered her love of painting when she first signed up for oil painting lessons at the age of ten. Growing up in California, the natural beauty and landscapes of her surroundings inspired her to paint. As an adult, she moved to the east coast where she continued her artistic education. One of her most influential instructors for many years was the well-known and accomplished artist Bruce Becker of Reading, Pennsylvania. Her professional work started mostly as donations to raise money for fundraisers for local charitable causes, which later grew into private commissions.
